iphone, iphone, iphone please!

i have a friend that waited about a year to get a new phone. she waited for the treo 700’s to come out then i told her about the iphone, she continued waiting. i saw her monday for the first time in about 3 weeks. can you guess what she wants to do? yup! go get herself an iphone…
the only att&t store in town, out of stock. nearest apple store, 53 miles away. time of day, rush hour. we start our little adventure, 101 south, exit lynn road, oak right, oak what? right. oak shopping center, i was looking for a stand alone apple store but this apple store is inside the mall. we get lucky and pick the best entrance to get to the apple store in the shortest distance. we walk in, play with demo iphones, grab a couple accessories, wait in line, buy phone, stop at the t-mobile store >:), drive home.
get home, set bag down, near couch. cook dinner. ignore bag, i know, how? HUNGRY!, that’s how! the iphone can’t make you dinner, yet!
the hardest part of the entire process was getting her computer to download the latest itunes. her windows computer was acting like a 2 year old in a grocery store, not listening! it wouldn’t download, so frustrating! (i know, i know, windows!)
so we get it setup, figure out how to add phone numbers, etcetera, etc, blah, blah, blah </end setup>.
we play with it, with it, with it. POP!
no signal? no sim? wtf? apple forums! it’s seems quite a few people were having there phones drop signal and decide it didn’t have a sim.
we followed the advice on the forums and everything is peachy now. i don’t think their was anything really wrong with the phone, but it seemed to freak out when it started getting hot. the little thing gets heated after watching a 9min. video of joey chestnut eating 66 hot dogs then proceed to surf the web for and hourish.
the little phone is amazing. i want one, no, need one. give me a few months, you’ll see.
